Dr. Toni Hatton, The Attractive Thinker , was inspired to document her story in her first book, Don’t Be Afraid: He’s Preparing You!, not long after her first born son was diagnosed with Bilateral Retinoblastoma, which is cancer of the retina in both of his eyes! By the time he was 5 years old, the decision was made to have his eyes removed in order to save his life! He went from having normal eyesight in pre-kindergarten to being totally blind 30 days prior to attending kindergarten! This story was not only about how God's presence was with her during the most difficult times in her life, but also how those trials prepared and shaped her to accomplish a greater purpose for her life! At a pivotal moment in her son’s life, she made him a promise saying, “I am going to bring this world to your fingertips!” By God’s grace, she has truly kept this promise! When the dust settled and all was said and done, she didn't just come out of that situation. She came out with GREAT substance! As a result of showing her son how to see without eyes, it enabled her to show people with eyes how to see as he shifted from sight to vision!

Life as I’d known it was gone! Things were happening so fast and decisions were being made instantly, that I didn’t even have time to RESPOND! ...EMOTIONS held HOSTAGE!  But God... who is RICH in MERCY... would not allow more than I could bear! I recall slowly falling to the floor, but my knees never hit the floor! Slipping to the floor at the side of his hospital bed, something was leaving me, yet something else refused to let me utterly FALL! Holding on AND letting go... I felt weak and strong at the same time! I decided to live long enough to SEE how this story would unfold! I’m certainly grateful that I did!

Kevin will be 33 years old this year! ... his doctor was right! He’s living a FULL life, has a massage therapy certification, writes, performs, & produces his own music, comes and goes when he wants to, cooks, cleans, and loves Gods word!! Thank you Father for being RICH in MERCY!!

The National Federation of the Blind taught us that blindness is not a characteristic that defines you or your future, it's a simple inconvenience! They were set up and ready to support parents in raising and having the SAME expectations for their blind child as they would their sighted children! As a person with VISION/AN ATTRACTIVE THINKER, that's all I needed to know! I stuck with them, learned all that I could, and kept applying that information! Learning and transferring... learning and transferring!

We had to do it differently! I’d taught him how to read letters in prep for Pre-Kindergarten and now I had 30 days to learn Braille MYSELF in order to teach it to him before he started Kindergarten! I searched for blind resources, found an organization that serviced blind people, drove up to the door, went to the front desk and said, “My son just lost his sight, school starts in 30 days and I know nothing about Braille!” She got up, walked into her office and took a huge Braille instructional manual off of her shelf and said, “I’m not supposed to give this to you, but read it through and through and he’ll be ready for kindergarten!”

I took the book home and studied it like the Bible! ... day and night, wiping tears before they hit the manual! “Dang! I can’t do this! Jesus, Lord why?! How am I going to learn to read these bumps on this paper?!” I felt like I had to fluently learn another language in 30 days! Learning Braille really was like learning a new language, but I was determined! Kevin knew how to read letters in time for Pre-K and he was going to know how to read Braille in time for Kindergarten!

The Spirit was just leading and guiding and opening doors and I was just leaning and trusting! I learned the Braille alphabet, took all of the index cards around the house that had words on them with letters and created index cards that had words in Braille. refrigerator... r e f r i g e r a t o r “Can you feel it Kevin? What letter is that? What does that word say?” I took Braille to church and we’d talk to each other using Braille while sitting in bible study! We were talking with our hands! Whooooo God! We were learning how to do life differently!!"

As an Identity Coach & Get-to-the-Root Specialist, Dr. Toni shows people "with eyes" how to properly see in life, so that they can end the starting and stopping, and receive the proper mental tools that are needed to overcome the mental anquish experienced when their past, fear, and doubt continue to resurface every single time that they decide to take action on their heart-felt ideas and desires! Dr. Toni supports her clients in shifting from repetitive goals to repeated success and in making their book and business ideas become their REAL LIFE! Years later, Dr.Toni’s daughter became chronically anemic resulting in a blood count of 4! The lab calls at 2 am and the hospital waits to administer a blood transfusion to her teenage daughter! Knowing the potential of the body to heal itself, Dr.Toni used natural alternatives to grow her daughters’ blood within 7 days and she fully recovered with no medical attention! These 2 defining moments became her life's work.  ... to show new & aspiring entrepreneurs how to create change, transform their lives, start their business ideas, write their books, and share resources that support the health of the entrepreneur so that they live vibrantly while enjoying their dream creations! Vision and wellness go together like faith and works! One without the other is dead!  It's a sad day when goals are accomplished, yet can't be enjoyed due to a sick body.

Healing is what you'll experience when in her presence! ... mental healing, spiritual healing, and physical healing! It's in her voice!  It's in her words!  It's in her singing, writing, speaking, and coaching! This healing allows her listening audience to get closer, turn up the volume, calm down, get clear, and realize with assurance that their time has come, to see beyond what they are looking at and to give life to their dreams! For several years, Dr.Toni hosted the From Sight to Vision Master "Your" Mind Experience group program, for Attractive Thinkers who were done with living routine, mundane, and mediocre lives and were ready to carve a new generational path to a more meaningful and fulfilling life, finish writing their books, start and grow their business ideas, reprogram their mind, and reinvent themselves! This transformational experience allowed her clients to plant their dreams and goals in an electrifying, fertile environment, and GET REAL RESULTS!

Dr. Toni has been honored with many awards, including a Citizens Citation from Mayor Martin O’Malley for her contributions to the PTO and her area school community and an Executive Citation  from County Executive Kevin Kamenetz for her published literary work and for being honored for culturally and creatively enriching the entire community. In 2014, she received an Honorary Doctorate Degree of Philosophy for the work that she does to support her clients and listening audience while hosting The Attractive Thinker Radio Program for Radio One. Dr. Toni is an American Association of Drugless Practioners Board Certified Health Coach, Author of Don’t Be Afraid: He’s Preparing You!, The Attractive Thinker, as well as the creator of the Think Attractively/Identity Shift: The One Thing That Changes Everything online course! To date, her practice has prevented 5 suicides, and has served thousands in shifting the mind from devastation to determination! 

Dr. Toni homeschooled for 11 years and is the proud mother of one daughter, Kristen, and three sons, Kevin II, Kristopher, and Karrington. What most people don't know about Dr. Toni...

One day while her mother was feeding her, she sneezed and she choked on oatmeal as an infant. Her mother ran outside screaming, holding her in her arms and the neighbor who happened to be a nurse, turned Dr. Toni upside down, hit her in the back, and she let out the loudest sound that ever came from a baby, just to get a breath of air! One of her scariest moments was when she fell out of the car while her father was driving on the highway. What saved her life was that she kept holding onto the door handle until her father was able to pull over on the side of the road. The tops of her shoes were gone due to how long she had been dragged along the highway, but she lived through it, is still holding on, and continues to defy the odds even until today!
